Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek is also known as Dhaulagiri Round trek. This trek offers 3 weeks challenging, but adventurous trek around Annapurna-Dhaulagiri region. Dhaulagiri was discovered in 1808.  Dhaulagiri was known as the highest peak in the world for almost 30 years. Dhaulagiri is standing 8167m tall. It is the seventh highest peak in the world. Dhaulagiri literally means “white mountain” is unique for its rise of 7000m at an aerial stretch of 30km. This region lies north-west of Pokhara, the city of lakes. This trek is less crowded camping trek offering unique and incredible natural and cultural diversity.

Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek is a challenging trek. It impends two passes over 5000m. On the either side of the deepest gorge, The Kaligandaki gorge, breathtaking view of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna range is seen. The trek starts at Beni. Beni is around 4 hrs drive from Pokhara. From Beni, leaving the Kaligandaki we head west along the North bank of Myagdi Khola. Then, we reach Babiya Chaur (970m). Trekking along the trail of Himalayas, passing villages like Darbang, Muri, Bogara and Dobang, we reach Chour Bag Khola Camp. As we proceed on, continuing the trial to the terminal enrockment of the Chhonbarban Glacier, we can have an awesome view of Tukche Peak (6920m) and Dhaulagiri-I (8167m). Furthermore, when we reach Italian Base Camp (3660m). The peaks of Dhaulagiri-III, IV and V makes us feel the magical moment with the mountains. Finally, passing through French Base Camp (3870m), we reach Dhaulagiri Base Camp (4748m). The trek then continues along steep inclination to French Pass (5360m). Then we descend to Dhampus Pass at 5200m. Passing through typical Tibetan villages, Jharkot and Khingar, we reach Marpha. Marpha is particularly famous for apples, apricot and peach wine. The trek finally ends at Tatopani (1160m) after having almost a complete round along Dhaulagiri Region.

  • Day 01 – Arrival at the Tribuwan International Airport in Kathmandu (1,345m). Overnight at a hotel.
  • Day 02 – Pre-trip meeting and sightseeing around the Kathmandu valley. Overnight at a hotel.
  • Day 03 – Drive to Beni (850m) by bus – 8 hrs. Overnight at tented camps.
  • Day 04 – Trek to Babiachor (950m) – 5 hrs. Overnight at tented camps.
  • Day 05 – Trek to Dharapani (1,400m) 6 hrs . Overnight at tented camps.
  • Day 06 – Trek to Muri (1,850m) – 5 hrs. Overnight at tented camps.
  • Day 07 – Trek to Boghara (2,080m) – 6 hrs. Overnight at tented camps.
  • Day 08 – Trek to Dobang (2,520m) – 5 hrs. Overnight at tented camps.
  • Day 09 – Trek to Choriban Khola (3,110m) – 5 hrs. Overnight at tented camps.
  • Day 10 – Trek to the Italian Base Camp (3,660m) – 7 hrs. Overnight at tented camps.
  • Day 11 – Acclimatization and rest day.  Overnight at tented camps.
  • Day 12 – Trek to the Glacier Camp (4,210m) – 6 hrs. Overnight at tented camp.
  • Day 13 – Trek to the Dhaulagiri Base Camp (4,740m) – 7 hrs. Overnight at tented camps.
  • Day 14 – Another acclimatization and rest day. Overnight at tented camps.
  • Day 15 – Cross the French Pass (5,360m), then trek to the Hidden Valley (5,200m) – 6 hrs. Overnight at tented camps.
  • Day 16 – Cross Dhampus Pass (5,200m), and trek to Yak Kharka (3,680m) – 6 hrs. Overnight at a tented camps .
  • Day 17 – Trek to Jomsom (2,710m) – 5 hrs. Overnight at tented camp.
  • Day 18 – Morning flight to Pokhara – 30 mins. Sightseeing around Pokhara. Overnight at a hotel.
  • Day 19 – Leisure day and sightseeing  around Pokhara.  Overnight at a hotel.
  • Day 20 – Drive back to Kathmandu (1,345m) and farewell dinner. Overnight at a hotel.
  • Day 21 – Transfer to the international airport for your final departure.

Trip Includes:

  • Four nights accommodation in Kathmandu and Pokhara with twin sharing at tourist standard hotel(Bed and Breakfast)
  • All Ground and air transportation.
  • One full  day Kathmandu sightseeing by private vehicle with English speaking city tour guide if you required.
