The Gosainkunda trek combines the diversity of pneumatic views of Himalayas with a vast number of inspiring ethnic encounters. The Gosainkunda is located at Rasuwa district north west of Helambu. It is at an altitude of 4380m from sea level. It is surrounded by mountains in almost all of its sides. The starting point of trek is Syabrubesi. It is an interesting village on the bank of Bhote Koshi River. Gosaikunda is a divine place.

The lake melts and sips down to form the Trishuli River and remains frozen for six months in winter from October to June. There are 108 lakes in this area, small to medium in size. The challenging Lauribina La pass at an altitude of 4,610 m (15,120 ft) is on its outskirts. Langtang Gosaikunda trek offers to observe the remote and impressive hidden valleys of Langtang with the devote lake of Gosaikunda at an altitude of 4600m. The people living in the highlands of the Langtang region are of Tibetan origin. They introduce themselves as a Tamang or Gurung.

The observation of one of the famous Gosaikunda Lake along with the spectacular views of Langtang lirung, snow covered hill and Ganesh himal will make you feel proud of yourself to be there.While trekking through Gosaikunda, you will reach the friendly Sherpa village of Kyanjing Gompa. Here you will experience the unique spiritual lifestyle of Buddhist monks. There will also be the chance of visiting traditional cheese factory where products are made by hand. The shy red panda may be on your view if you are lucky.

Gosainkunda trek passes through the alpine forest. It is full of blooming rhododendrons, different evergreen forest, and Barrel Mountains. Besides the Gosaikunda , the other lakes in nearby area are Nagkunda, Bhairabkunda, Saraswatikunda and Surajkunda. The trek from langtang valley to Gosainkunda is full of natural and cultural diversity. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu International Airport, then transfers to the hotel.

Day 02: Trek preparation.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche at (1960m6272 Ft.)

Day 04: Trek from Dhunche to Chandanbari at (3330m10656 Ft.)

Day 05: Trek from Chandanbari to Gosainkund at (4380m14016 Ft.)

Day 06: Trek from Gosainkund to Dhunche at (1960m6272 Ft)

Day 07: Drive back from Dhunche to Kathmandu.

Day 08: Departure for home.


Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu. Upon on your arrival at the Tribhuban International Airport, one of our staff will be there to warm greeting you with beautiful garland that is our respect and the culture to welcome to the new stranger. After welcoming you, our staff will transfer to you to the hotel. After your long journey on a plane, you may get tired, so be fresh and take a bit rest, then our manager will come to meet you to the hotel and talk about the plan of your trip details. After a complete brief about the trip, will take you for Well Come dinner in nice restaurant with cultural show.

Day 02: Trek Preparation

Today, our manager will come to meet you at the hotel at 10.00 AM.  He will brief about the trip in detail, introduce with the guide and provide you all the documents. You will be free in the afternoon and manage your time for trek preparation. Our guide will meet you at your hotel at six O’ clock in the evening then take you for well come dinner. After having dinner, drop you to the hotel and stay over night.


Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche

Drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche. It takes six hours. The road from Kathmandu to Trisuli is good, then after that not so good, up and down. You can enjoy the scenery, rivers, Mountains and several villages when you are travelling on the bus. After the long drive you reach at Dhunche (The headquarter of Rasuwa District). They have Langtang National Park Office. So you should have checked your trekking permit to enter the National Park. You can look around the town in the evening and stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 04: Trek from Dhunche to Chandanbari

Today is your first day trek to Chandanbari. It takes about four to five hours to reach to Chandanbari. The trail from Dhunche all the way up to reach Chandanbari. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery as well as the mountain while you are walking. You can visit the Cheese Factory and Gompa in this place, then stay overnight at lodge.

Day 05: Trek from Chandanbari to Gosainkund

This is the second day trek. Chandanbari to Gosainkunda. Today you should ascend a lot. You feel more tired than the last few days because of gaining more altitude. The trail more gradual but you should climb long hours. You can enjoy the mountain views from Lauribinayak pass. You can observe Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Annapurna mountain and several peaks around there. Today you should walk five to six hours to reach Gosainkunda at 4100m. The views from the hotel very nice. You can look around the lakes and enjoy it, then stay overnight at hotel.

Day 06: Trek back from Gosainkund to Dhunche

Today is your last day trek. The lake view is better in the morning so take some photographs then start your trek. This is the longest day trek all the way down to Dhunche. You can look around the town in the evening and stay overnight there.

Day 07: Drive from Dhunche to Kathmandu

Drive back to Kathmandu by bus with our guide. It takes six hour drive. Our manager will come to meet you at the hotel, then take you for the farewell dinner at a nice restaurant. Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 08: Departure day

Departure for home. Our driver will depart you by car to the international airport. Wish you have a nice and safe journey back home.
